Reviving a river
An NPO restoring the Hennops River back to it's former glory
'Hennops Revival is a nonprofit company with the focus on reviving, restoring and healing the Hennops river in collaboration with the government, other NGO’s, NPO’s and Forums, the private sector and the public.'
Tarryn Johnston, founder of Hennops Revival is passionate about using the river to create unity and harmony in the greater community and so far has brought 3053 volunteers together to clean up 1 521 840kg of rubbish.
They are hoping to further community involvement - promoting active citizenry and government & corporate participation.
Hennops Revival is always looking for people to get involved and their are numerous ways to do so - from volunteering with the team, donating money or black bags, to sharing their story with those around you to raise awareness about littering.
